Our Staff
David Gambill David is the store owner, having 32 years of experience repairing, designing, and selling jewelry right here in Jonesboro. Total customer satisfaction is his goal with each and every item we produce and with each sales transaction. He enjoys building relationships with our customers and seeks to get to know everyone who walks in the door. Our business is built on our relationship with you, our valued friends and customers. David and his wife Sandra (who celebrated 30 years of marriage this year!) have three sons, one daughter in-law, and a beautiful new grandson. They attend Trinity Church here in Jonesboro. David serves on the Council of Elders and as Church Treasurer, as well as leading the Worship Team while playing the keyboard as Praise and Worship Leader.
Kevin Downs Kevin is our Shop Manager, and Assistant Store Manager. Kevin has 26 years of experience in the jewelry business, both in sales and at the jewelry bench repairing and making jewelry. David and Kevin have worked together at the same local jewelry store for 15 years, prior to David starting his own business, and then continued to work together in a "moon-lighting" situation until Kevin joined Gambill Jewelry full-time in August of 2009. Kevin can assist you with sales, repairs, and custom design needs. He and his family attend Trinity Church in Jonesboro, where Kevin is a Life Group teacher and leader in the Men's Ministry.
Dot Noles Dot has worked in the jewelry industry for close to 30 years, in stores here in Jonesboro and in Memphis. She does our bead and pearl stringing as well as selling jewelry. She has a vast knowledge of the product. Dot and Linda (shown below) worked together for several years at Gordon's Jewelers, and David, Dot, and Kevin began working together about 26 years ago in the same local jewelry store. She and her husband, Ray, have three children, six grandchildren, and six great grand children! They attend Community Fellowship Church where Ray serves as the Church Treasurer.
Tracey Higgins-Clayton Tracey comes to us with a family heritage of Jewelers. Tracey's family, the Higgins from Paragould, Arkansas have been in the Jewelry business for many years. Her Grandfather and Father were both owners of Higgins Jewelry in Paragould. Tracey grew up working in the family business, and we are proud to have her on our staff. She is eager to help you find that special piece of jewelry! Tracey is married to Donald Clayton of Paragould. Donald is employed by Roleson Distributors.
VaLinda Armstrong VaLinda is another valuable member of our staff. VaLinda loves jewelry, and she will bend over backwards to make sure you leave our store having purchased the absolutely perfect piece of jewelry for you! VaLinda is married to Allen, who manages a Aaron's store in Walnut Ridge. They are members of Grace Community Church where VaLinda helps with the Worship Team on keyboard, and Allen serves as a church Elder.
Linda Lamberth Linda is the newest member of our team! She has 26 years of experience in the jewelry business, and for 21 years served as Store Manager for Gordon's Jewelers here in Jonesboro. We consider ourselves fortunate to have her working with us. Her knowledge of jewelry, diamonds, and gemstones is vast. She and her husband, Jimmy, are active members of Trinity Church here in Jonesboro, and they also operate a missions ministry situated in the Philippines.
We Honor a Valued Former Employee 1st Lieutenant Michael McCarty His brave service and the sacrifices he made while serving in the Iraq war have made us very proud of him. Michael worked with us for 2 1/2 years while attending Arkansas State University. He served in the University's ROTC program, and after graduating was activated and sent to Iraq serving in the Arkansas National Guard's 39th Brigade Combat Team. Michael was recently inducted into the ASU ROTC Hall of Heroes. He is the highest-decorated Arkansas soldier of the war, holding the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal with Valor. Words cannot express the love we have for Michael. We consider him a permanent part of our family. We miss him deeply, and wish him God's best in all he does. We feel honored to have had him with us for the time we did. He is now at home in Bald Knob, Arkansas, and has gone into the construction business with his twin brother Patrick, who also served bravely in the Arkansas National Guard in the Iraq war.
